A Message From Your Creativity (Poem)

"A Message From Your Creativity"

Hello,

Remember me?

It’s been a while since we played.

We used to have fun together,

before the outside world told you I wasn’t important.

I don’t want to hurt you,

but left unused I turn into something negative.

I am not benign.

I would rather be your source of joy

than your source of depression.

I would rather be your source of purpose

than your source of rage.

I would rather be your source of fun

than your source of judgement.

You know what it means to be “Created in God’s image”

right?

It means you are a Creator

and Creators must create.

So I ask you..

Unleash me.

Use me.

Hone me.

Prioritize me.

Do this

and I will be your spark of wonder in the Universe.

Shout out to Brene Brown for the inspiration on this one. I was listening to The Power of Vulnerability by her and she said “unused creativity is not benign. It metastasizes, not dissipates”.

I found that to be a brilliant way of putting it. Like her and most people, I remember a time when I said I wasn’t creative and I didn’t have any creative outlets.

The way I see it now, if you’re not actively creating then you are not actively living. Imagine a world where everyone honed their unique creative skills and used them? It’s hard to imagine how beautiful life would be.

Most of what I write is directed to empaths and the spiritual minded. For you this is extra important. It’s non-negotiable if you want to be healthy, happy, and thriving. Creative outlets help process and release the constant barrage of energy you take on every day. Invite the energy in and transform it into something beautiful.

Make sure not to judge your creative gifts or whatever it is you have an affinity towards. You don’t have to be good at it, you just have to enjoy the process!

So I invite you to express your creativity a little more and to prioritize it....I’ll do the same ;)
